I just bought a 8330 and I'm trying to decide on a case. I just wanted to take a poll of everyone to see what type of case/skin. Does it protect it well especially if you drop it?

I'm thinking about getting a gel skin and a flip top leather case. I would prefer the plastic holster & a skin, but I don't think the holster would hold it with the skin on it. Ideas??

I have used the gel case, and prefer the soft touch hard cases by Seidio. I got several through Amazon for far less than the suggested retail.

BTW, with a case, if you need to do a "battery pull" press Alternate-RightShift-Delete (all at the same time) to effect a reboot without removing the case or backdoor. Good luck.

I bought this one for mine, and I love it.
It is only about 1.5mm thick, has a solid plastic (crystal clear!) screen cover, and has a nice texture to it.

It only prevents scratches. It does not offer any impact protection though I've dropped it on concrete a number of times without any problems. YMMV, of course.

I have a generic smoked plastic hard case. Cost me only $2 plus they through in a screen protector for $1 extra. Free shipping -- can't complain.
