Hi

I am looking for a solution to avoid duplicated emails and calendar when restoring my backup and synching my BB with my new BES server.

Here is the steps i went trough :

1- Backup device
2- Wipe Device
3- Update device software
4- Restore the backup
5- Sync with my new BES

I had my last 200 emails and my calendar twice does anybody knows how to avoid this ?

Skip step 4 - wipe the device and perform a new EA. No need to perform a restore if you are on a BES.

In addition to skipping step 4, you should skip step 2 also. It's unnecessary.

Step 5 should be Enterprise Activation on BES which will restore your PIM data and settings by way of BES Wireless Backup. (Assuming new BES is using the same SQL database as previous BES.)

i'll had few information

When you sync to a BES server the server is only sending the last 200 emails. So i need to do a backup and a restore to have all my email older than thoses 200. And i wanna keep my other configuration (sounds profile and everything).

And also my new BES server is not using the same database as the previous one. (Moving from one provider to another one)
