e-mail from laptop via blackberrry
First off I apologise for this very basic question which despite searches and phone calls to suppliers, I have been unable to get a straight answer to.
I have been asked the following question:-
Can a user send a e-mail from a laptop via a blackberry device.?
(I am not talking about using the blackberry as a modem)
The scenario which was presented to me was, a user on a plane having just typed a document on his laptop wants to e-mail the text to a colleague, can he just "send" it to the blackberry device (via software and link) and the blackberry would then send it as if it was typed on the blackberry itself.

No, you can't send the document to the blackberry like that, at least not yet.

email-age
The only other thing you could do, is write the text in a "note" and copy and paste it into an e-mail.
You would need to have "notes" syncronizing with your outlook.
