Well I took the plunge and bought this after being frustrated with Berry Weather for weeks not being able to get weather on my Bold.

So far WB Elite is nice. Wish it would be more reliable with GPS fix but oh well.

Things I would love to see added:

1. Option to choose which screen to open to.
2. Option to use key presses for different views instead of going thru tabs
3. Option to get a quick 48 hour written forecast with one key press
4. Option to disable "tips" upon opening application

Love the Temp gauge on top bar !

This was my favorite weather app when I used the 8900. Now that I use the 9700 this app is not compatible.....boooooooo

does anyone know if I need to have Blackberry Maps installed for the Elite weather radar to work?

I don't want 2 map apps if I don't need to - thanks.

It looks like it uses Bing. I don't have BB maps, but do have google maps. It just shows Bing in the top left corner.

I am leery of program just because it has name "WeatherBug". That was one of worse spyware ridden program I have ever seen in windows years ago. They should have used another name. :D
