Can someone of you guys is tethering your bb storm??? If so,can you explain me how do I do it,and once I'm on verizon,can you tell me if its worth it to tether my storm? One more question how's the software tetherberry? Does this software makes any difference at a time of tethering,especially when your on the "most reliable network" you know they charge you just for anything,well I hope that you guys can help me,THANK YOU!!! =)

For Windows PC, the VZW manager software come with the phone has the tethering function. You will need the tethering plan activated to use it. For MAC user, just setup as a Bluetooth modem in MAC OS, that's all.

I have read mixed reviews.. some people say they had no issues, and some people said verizon canceled their account and charged them the $175 early term fee.

oops - looks like they are going to get one way or the other... I use the VZW Manager and have had no problems and for the $20.00 per month fee - it is OK by me.

I have used Tetherberry on Verizon with no problems. It's one of the easiest apps to download, install, and use that I have ever seen. I think those who have problems with Verizon may be those who use it LOTS, like as a full time wi-fi substitute. I use it when my DSL goes down or I am in an airport or something, so maybe a couple times a month.

Tetherberry works very well. Since it is "tunneling" through BB data connection (not via modem dial-up), I don't see how VZ could even "charge" you, or measure the usage. As long as you have BB Unlimited Data Plan with you service.

One causion, if you are on BES service, and your BES administration has IT policy that restric any "tunneling" access, you will be out of luck with that one.

I've tried it and while it works, it ruan about 1/2 the speed of Verizon.

My speed samples are averaged around 700K/down and 400K/up depends on signal strength. For an EV-DO Rev.A device, it is about the real world speed that you can get. Also, to keep in mind, using any speed testing sites, and results could be mis leasing, it all depends on how the test setup and defind the baseline for their testing.
