I'm having two separate issues here.

No 1:
Emails are auto deleting from my bold 2. Example, my mum sent me an email a few days ago and it showed up fine. Its now gone from my blackberry inbox BUT its still showing on my Outlook (desktop PC). Yes, i've checked and double checked all the settings in outlook... including the 'dont delete from server' option.

No 2:
This is a strange one. My SMS and emails are viewable in both the 'SMS' folder and the 'Email' folder. I want the messaging to be separate from the emails, for obvious reasons. Is there any way around this?

The minimum setting to delete emails is 15 days, so it's not that. Generally this could be a sign of low memory issues, but if you're using a 9700 I can't imagine that being the problem.

1. What email are you using? Is this happening with all your email or just this one?

2. In your Message list hit the menu key and go to options. Then select Inbox Settings. You can select what shows up in your main Messages list.

I've set the messages to delete to 'never'. So I dont think thats an issue. The mail server i'm using is an @veromoda.org... not with Gmail etc.

Could the latest firmware fix it? I haven't installed it as my Mac is not detecting any new updates, but from the forum - i see that there is a new version out and I will need a Windows machine to do it.

What version of the OS are you using? I haven't heard of any issues with emails being deleted, but it just might take care of your problem.

And, in case you missed it, my second point in my post above will fix your sms issue.


As for the email, have you looked directly on the mail server to see if the mails are indeed still on the server?
