Question Latest OS for 8320 model

Please Login to Remove!

Hi

I want to know when will we get an updated OS for Blackberry 8320. Latest I have is 4.5 but other handsets have support for 4.6 which is quite cool.

Is there a way to get OS4.6 working on 8320 ?

When will Blackberry team bring out newer version for 8320 and other models beyond OS 4.5 ?

Regards
Ankit

Only RIM(Research In Motion - maker of the blackberry) would know the answer to that. Most likely it wont happen due to memory constraints on the older devices.

The 8300 series is old (by BlackBerry standards), considering that the 9000, 9700, 8500 and 9600 series have all come out since then. With a LOT more memory... I wouldn't expect to see another OS for the 8300 line.

I don't think you'll see 4.6 for the 8320. The entire 83xx series is fast becoming a "legacy" model, replaced by the 8900 and the 85xx. Development has slowed for the 83xx series and will probably only be maintenance updates, if there are updates at all. While the 8320 is still a very serviceable model and plenty useful, it's old and several models removed from the current lineup.
