Default Should i SWITCH FRUITS?

Please Login to Remove!

i curently hav a iphone, but... its slow and since android came in the mix , my app supply is comin in slower, and crapier,no new nice apps, so im bored with my iphone, it has many problems.
i had a bold 9000 wich was a JOKE, i cracked the screen, broke the trackball, broke the keyboard, just by having in my pocket while it rained or stuff like that...

my dilema is:
-is the blackberry 9700 tough? i HONESTLY dropped my iphone more than 100 times, no question about that. would the bold break on my 2nd drop?

-the browser, i know the browser on the 9000 was.....SLOW, but how about the 9700? has it improved? is it noticeably faster? or usable?, is it faster to use the OPER BROWSER? (i enjoy browsing on my iphone so... its big deal for me)

-BATTERY LIFE, does it hold 2 days of random calls/apps/browsing?

-RELIABILITY ,does it have a lot of problems? will it break if my hands are wet, or if dust gets in the keys?

-PERFORMENCE ,how much would u say the 9700 has improved in performence over the 9000, 100%,? more?
--and finnaly, are there any games for it? last time i had my 9000, there was 1... brick breaker. and to be honest, even black and white nokias had more games, so is the 9700 FUN?

im sorry for making this thread so long but i NEED TO KNOW all of these facts before i switch. please if you know the answers to my questions, help me out.

Wirelessly posted

Is the 9700 a great device? Yes.

Will it become a piece of junk if you treat it like a piece of junk? Yes.

would it break? depends on the surface, would you potentially damage it internally? sure. but true of most phones.

Nope, browser is the same.

not sure

blackberry's really dont like water or any kind of moisture

There were more games for the 9000, just not included. you can download all kind of games. you just have to search for them.

If you didn't like the 9000, you probably won't like the 9700 - but you will like it more than you did the 9000.

If you treat it like you treated the 9000 and iPhone, you will have the same result. These devices are not intended to be dropped, carried in your pocket, gotten wet. or otherwise treated roughly. If your hands are wet or you get it wet, it will go the way of most electronic devices - fry random parts or the motherboard and need to be replaced. In other words, treat then correctly, they will last; treat them harshly, then they break.

Cannot comment on battery life, other than to say that it really depends upon the individual user. However, if you look at the 9700 section, you will see that most do not get more than 8 to 10 hours of battery life.

The cool thing about a BlackBerry is that you don't have to put it in a case to get good reception, and you can hold it any way you like and still get a great signal.

Also, the signal strength bar display is accurate, and all five bars are the same size so you can really tell if you have a good signal or not. BlackBerry does not make the "weak" reception bars larger so you can "see them better" LOL.

BlackBerry Cases // OtterBox.com

You can smash the case, drive over it, and even drop it into water and the phone will be solid.

I've never seen a better made case.

If you treat your phone as you do, you need one of these (or any competitor that is as good, if any)

the bold 9700 is well made, i would say better than the iphone 4.

i currently on my 4th bold 9700 and am on my second iphone 4.

I think both phones are well made however both can break very easily.

ive had a bold 9700 that ive dropped 30 times very hard and its only picked up scratches. then ive also dropped it from my lap ( 3 feet while sitting) and a corner of the chair hit the screen and the screen was completely broken.

the first day i had my iphone 4, it suffered a similar fall and also broke the screen ( dont believe the hype about the glass being super strong,...its simply no big deal)

both these phones can take a beaten, but they can also break very easily...

for a more in depth review of the two. check this out
