i am facing a with a problem with my 8330 scroll button, i even rebooted it but no change in the status. When on home page the i can scroll to any icon but when i press the button it does not respond and after a while the screen goes black, if i connect with usb or charger it comes back to life, i can see the home page can scroll to any icon but if i press the scroll button there is no response.
Can anyone help.

The little membrane button under the scroll ball is worn out or has corrosion from liquid entering under the button. can be replaced

Do you carry the device in your pocket? Did it get wet?

If it did not get wet, then it might have dirt or lint under it that keeps it from hitting the contacts properly. To fix:

Turn the device off.

Press the button in and then scroll up and down, then to the right and left and then in all directions.

If you have some "canned air", you can shoot that around it as well while pressing the button.

Release and turn the device on.

Does it work? If not repeat the procedure at least one more time.
