I maintain my contacts in Outlook and sync to my 9530 Storm via BB Desktop Manager. I have a new Panasonic KX-TG6583T cordless (household) phone system with Cell Link which makes our cell phones accessible throughout the house. The Panasonic base unit hosts a shared phonebook and supports Bluetooth transfer of contacts from linked cell phones. Everything is perfect except that after transfer from my BB, the contacts are ordered by first name instead of last.

My contacts in Outlook were entered as First & Last and filed as Last, First and show up as Last, First on my BB. I re-entered all of my contacts as Last, First and filed as Last, First and re-exported to my BB, then onto the Panasonic. Names still show as First + Last.

I assume that the problem lies with the format in which the contact info is sent by the BB. I can find no way to change the BB export format to Last, First. Help would be appreciated as the Panasonic phone system is otherwise as good as it gets.

Try an experiment. reverse the names and try sending. If your the only one using the BB and if the first name is the last and last is the first when displayed then you can either leave it or put up with the other.
Not sure you have much choise with the standard non 3rd party application.
Maybe a 3rd party one does exist.
