We want to set up 1 BES 5 instance at each remote office to access the centralized configuration SQL database at our HQ. To install each BES instance can I use the same AD account for BES services? The AD account has proper permissions for Exchange.

We are running BES 4.1 and each BES instance at remote office also hosts its own configuration database. They were built 5+ years ago with BES 3.5. It was set to use separate AD account for BES services on each BES instance. I thought it was required to be that way back then but don't remember why.

BTW. Our Exchange servers are at each office so we want BES on the same LAN as Exchange.

Yes they can share the same service account.

If you have BES and an excahnge server in different locations ie USA, UK, China, Austraila. It might be better to have a BES account for each location incase the main one ever goes down. If BES cant access the BESAdmin mailbox it will fail.
