i just ordered two new F-M1 batteries for my 9670 Style and the batteries dont work (wont start up the phone) i was told the batteryies needed to be mated. does anyone know how to do this?
Sounds like those aftermarket batteries that have to be encoded with the proper data. I'm guessing that is where the term mating comes in....mating with the OEM battery to copy the code so the power circuit will accept the knockoff battery. See for example http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...batteries.html.
I would expect the battery to have come with instructions and a fixture. But I would steer clear, personally. Different strokes, however.
