Default Heartbroken-

Please Login to Remove!

Am heart broken--lost my Blackberry curve yesterday...
my carrier is mobilicity and I informed them to suspend my line temporarily.
How can I find my BB? Is there any tracking software that i can use?
The unit still has a battery in it and it was fully charged. Thanks

Unless you previously installed an app such as BBProtect or SmrtGuard, there's no way to track the device or find it. It's sorta like fire insurance... gotta have thought about this before the loss.

Sorry.

Hoping that some honest person who finds it will come forward...but then how would he/she contact me since the phone has been disabled...did not not even think of putting my name on the carrying case of the phone...

No, BlackBerry security does not allow apps to be installed remotely unless you're on a corporate BES system. Unfortunately, unless some honest citizen comes forward to return your device, it's gone. Did you have it password-protected? Even if Mobile City disables the PIN/IMEI for service, the information contained is still accessible unless it's locked with a password.

If you were already connected to a corporate system with your own device, the admins would be able to remote wipe your missing BlackBerry. Somebody else with a corporate account will not be able to help.

If this was a personal use device, and not password protected, you have no options to track it or wipe it. And all your data/contacts/info in the device is out there in the wind.

No. If you have contacted your carrier and the police you've done all you can.
