Friends I have just bought a Blackberry 9220 Curve phone and when I try to access an internet I could not do it, I used Airtel service. So if any one could help me out with this problem, Is it something I have to set in my phone to get access to internet??

You need data service specially for BlackBerry on your line. You buy it from your service provider, provided it supports BlackBerrys.

You need to contact Airtel to get the BlackBerry data plan Ira referenced. If you are on prepaid it will cost you Rs. 399 monthly and will not include any browsing. If you wish to browse, you need to be on postpaid, and it will cost Rs. 899 monthly.

If the BlackBerry you bought was not originally an Airtel BlackBerry you also have to make sure it is unlocked so you can use it on Airtel.

In general, most devices are sold unlocked in India, but it could be an issue if the device was purchased overseas.
