Bold 9700 data sync problem with Office Outlook 2013

I have a Bold 9700 running V6.0 bundle 2949 and Desktop Manager v5.0.1.
Under Microsoft Vista and Office Outlook 2007 data sync worked fine.
I have moved to a new pc with Windows 8.1 and Office Outlook 2013.
I exported .pst files from Outlook 2007 and imported them into 2013. I can access calendar, contacts, tasks and notes from within Outlook 2013, but I cannot sync the data with my BB using Desktop Manager. The error message, when I try to configure for the data sync is:
Microsoft Outlook Connector Error: No profiles were found in registry.
Note that e-mail is working fine and synching via the server.
Note also the Outlook 2007 e-mail account was POP3, Outlook 2013 has configured it as IMAP. Is this significant?
Or is it a question of my version of Desktop Manager no longer being compatible with Outlook 2013 registry profiles?
