Does anyone know of a way to block Direct Connect (Nextel PTT) on a 7520 without turning it off? I want to leave the Blackberry on as a pager, but want to send phone calls straight to voicmail, and block direct connect and call alerts. In short, I want it to be a pager when I go home at night.

Anyone found a way to do this? I've set all my profiles, but can't find a way to block the radio portion of the service.

Use your SILENT profile and change whatever you are using for paging (type of message) to make a sound. Everthing else will be quiet. Give that a try, it might work.

You can send phone calls obvisouly to VM directly but the DC is a tough one....

on my 7510 (Telus) - there are option for Push To Talk in the Phone icon

go into phone icon
open the menu, choose option
choose Push To Talk

Silence DC Call Alerts -> change to yes
Silence Direct Conntact -> change to yes
