Default For those having problems with BBREPLY!

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I am pretty good with using the seatch button and trying to use the information provide here on bbforums. However the last few days I have been trying to figure out how to get BBREPLY to work. I use both BES and BIS and use a 7100 series phone (7100i).

I installed and removed the battery per other users feedback and set up my reply to emails in BBREPLY. I kinda figured that when I recieved a message that I wanted to use the BBREPLY it would be in the options menu. Again when I encountered this problem I used the forums to trouble shoot my problem and found that when you get a email that you want to change the reply to adress you actually have to use the normal reply to. At this point you are NOT DOING ANYTHING DIFFERENT than you have before. Once you have used the normal reply and have started to compose a reply is when you push wheel in and then the REPLY TO USING will show up. Again up to this point all of this has been easy to find here at BBforums.

Now here is where my troubles began. When trying to get this to work no matter what I did the emails recieved ALWAYS had my BIS reply to. I finally found the answer burried deep in a BBREPLY post and was very hard to find. If you have a email address in your BIS setting "reply to using" field it will OVER RIDE your BBREPLY SETTINGS and always have your BIS reply to. Once I went into my BIS settings and left the "reply to using" field empty it then worked like a charm. I realize that the person that recieves the message will still see your original email address but if they reply there is a "reply to field" that matches what BBREPLY you used.

I hope this helps some of you.

Hey Goblue - I have the same phone and the same problem. I am assuming you are referring to the Blackberry Internet Service when you mentioned BIS. When I tried to set my 'sent from address' to blank, it would not let me leave the address field blank. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. I really would like to use this feature. Sorry for any confusion, thanks.
