One of our VP's purchased a new 7290 and I had to set it up. To be safe I uninstalled the existing Desktop software (3.xx) rebooted and then installed the new version of the Desktop software (4.1). There was a issue on boot up 2 redirectors would appear and one would start running. I was able to have only 1 redirector run by deleting the RIM software folder from program files. Now 2 weeks later the VP tells me that the other redirector is back again. OS is W2K Pro on a Dell 630m Laptop. Any ideas?

I had a similar issue just recently. The install for the 4.1 should have updated the existing install - there may still be a few registry entries remaining from the old install. Look in the <b>\Local Machine\Software\</b> for Research In Motion. There may also be some old settings in <b>\Current User\Software</b> under Research In Motion.
