there are many that work on them. The 8700 does have a great voice clarit. Look at Plantronics D640 (which is about to be replaced with the D645).

Mortgageguy loves his plantronics and he turned me onto it. It's a great headset. allenranger2, what's wrong with the MOTO headsets? A friend of mine has it and he swears by it.

I have the H500 as well, and after going through really 10 HS820 and HS850's, i'm just kind of sick already. Lately the H500 has been losing battery really quickly, and I barely speak with it on. I guess I'm just frustrated. Then again, I wouldnt recommend any Moto phones either. Dropped calls and easily breakable.

I'm totally stumped with this issue. Just got my first BB on Monday (TMO 8700g) and I'm on my 6th bluetooth earpiece, and can't find any that seem to work well for me. I keep getting garble on my end. Thus far I've tried the
Motorola: H300, H500, H3, H850, H700. The Plantronics Discovery D640, and the Jabber x10. Am I just cursed or something? On all of these I haven't been able to have enough clarity to have a full conversation without having to ask people to repeat things, cuz I'll get popping and garble (sorry, best word I can come up with) through the earpiece.
The Tmobile tech line said that it was probably a bad unit, and had me exchange it out for another one, and same issue.
I'm so stumped right now. Thus far the H3 has been the best of the bunch.

I have gone through all of those. Plus I owned (and still own) the V600, V620, V3, V3i A780 and every one took a major beeting and I hope that my 8700 can withstand what those went through.

The headsets as far as I know shouldn't pop or crackle. I received alot of complaints that I wasn't coming through clearly, but as far as me hearing the other person, there weren't problems. Might it be the area you're in? Do you have alot of bluetooth devices (laptop, other phones, etc..)?

It happens at home (laptop is BT, but disabled at the moment), in the car, and at the T-Mobile store.

Try downloading Skype to your laptop and pair your headset with laptop...make a PC to PC call (free). If you need someone to test it out, I'll be glad to help.

Why not? I plan on getting an H500 soon. But one I do not recommend is the Plantronics M2500. I have this headset and it gave me fits. Dropped calls; dropped BT pairings; having to use the BB itself to answer calls (BT wouldn't activate to answer the phone via headset); initial and repeated pairings were a pain, etc. The only things I liked were the fit (and I wear glasses), the sound quality, and noise cancellation.

My screenname on Skype is allenranger2 if you want to ring me.
Erica, H500 is by far the best one out of all of them. The battery started to drain really quickly recently while the headset is off, and now I'm just a little dazzled. Why can't they make something work right? I guess once you get big, quality doesn't matter...
