Default Desktop Manager Problems

Please Login to Remove!

Out of the blue my desktop manager started to give me error messages, and refuses to load. I downloaded a new version from BB. Still, I get the same error and can't load it. I'm running XP. No other software issues with anything else (naturally!).
What's going on? And how can I corrrrect it? I need to change the server on one of my email accounts.
Thank you.

uninstall and re-instal. Make sure that you do a PC re-boot once you uninstall.

what is the error? When you say it won't load do you mean it won't start even after it says install was complete?

The error is: "Invalid command line perameters."
Correct, it will not load after successful installation.

How are you trying to start it? From the Start->Programs menu or from the edsktop? Either way, what is the command for the shortcut you are using?

I'm not sure if this is the same situation but since we had a system down time for server updates etc...two weeks ago or so I have not been able to install 4.1 and get it to load/run after install completes. I can still install and run 4.0 desktop. We think it is due to the "bad" security update that Microsoft resent last week - we haven't "approved" it for re-deployment yet so I'm still waiting to see if that is really what caused the issue
