I need some help. I am using Blackberry IM on my 8700c and like it. When I am at my computer I want to still IM people who are on there BB device. What IM application is best for doing this? Does this make sence?

Any help would be great.

Um i dont know if its possible to use BBmessenger from a desktop? If they have GoogleTalk on their BB you can do that from your DT!

As far as I know, there is no Windows/Apple client for BlackBerry Messenger.

The only way to IM Blackberry users from a computer is if they are using an IM client on one of the standard IM networks (Yahoo, AOL, .NET(MSN)).

Doesn't BB Messenger use PIN messages and your desktop doesn't have a BB PIN and therefor can't work with BB Messenger.

Good question, BB Messenger should use PIN messages but I'm not sure. I am trying to search for the answer now, no luck so far tho I gotta read thru alot =)
I will post up when I find the answer or if somone can chime in that already knows it would be helpful =)

BB does use PIN messages. It'll tell you when the message was delivered and when they received/read it

It's also the most reliable communication between BBs. Even if other things are down or don't work, the PIN likely will.

No, they are like Data. Think of them like e-mail but secure and just between BlackBerrys.
