Default Forwarding + Attachments

Please Login to Remove!

Hello

Is there a setting on the BES to allow forwarding messages w/ attachments?

I seem to be able to forward them but the attachments dont stay attached to the email.

Carlos.

I'm having the same problem. When I check the "out" box, the attachments are not shown on the sent message. Is there an option on my BB that will enable the ability to forward attachments? I have a BB7290 (t-mobile) running version 4.1.0.309. Any way I can fix this so that when I forward, the attachments go as well?

I just tried it on my with a PPT attachment. It works. It arrives automatically with the attachment. I checked my options and the only thing I could see what might be a hint is that the setting "Auto More" is set to YES.
Give it a try.

Auto More has nothing to do with forwarding attachments. The BES sends the first 2K of a message to the handheld when it arrives. If the message is 8K in size then when the BB get's to the 2K limit it will automatically request the next section (another 2K). Disabling auto more just means that when you get to the 2K segment, you have to manually click the thumb wheel and choose "More" or "More all".

Basically when you forward a message the BES gives the mail server the command to take the message that is in your mailbox, add the new text (that you enterred in the forward on the handheld) and send that message out.
