Default Upload cantact list to bluetooth enabled car

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 2005 Prius with bluetooth. I didn't have too much problem pairing the devices together.

However, the Prius has a phone book that I would like to upload my contacts from my BB in to. I can't seem to find out how to send the info.

I have a 7520. Running V 4.0 and desktop manager.

Quick answer...BB's don't support the necessary Bluetooth profile to do this. It's a security thing. There may be a way around it, but it's buried in the forum somewhere...

Nice car, btw.

Nope; no way around it. As has been stated many, many times in this forum, there is no way to transfer data using the Bluetooth on the BlackBerry. It is for audio and handsfree only.

As far as I have heard the Parrot car kits can access the address book on the blackberry. But I will have to double check that.

You might also be limited by the car. I know my friend's Acura does NOT allow address books to be uploaded from any source.

I agree with bigdongers, we just installed the Parrot CK3100 in a Yukon and the hands free works but no phonebook upload. Look for firmware updates to solve this problem in the future.

Unhappy connecting the Prius and the 7100t

Joe,

you're ahead of me; I just got both the Prius and the 7100t, and I have not gotten them paired yet, so I'm encouraged by your saying that you did it without too much trouble. Thus far, the car seems to display no Bluetooth "presence" and the 7100t can't "find" the car, even though it finds other Bluetooth devices.

thanks for any hints anyone can give me

dennis
