Default Dates on Task

Please Login to Remove!

I have started using the Task function on my BB 7280 since Mailstreet upgraded to BES 4.0 and have a very weird deal going on with the dates. When I create a tesk from my desktop it has the correct due date until the task is synced to the BB, then somehow the due date is changed to a day earlier on the BB only? If I create the task from the BB the due date is correct even after it syncs to the desktop, it is just happening on task sent from the desktop to the BB. I have checked all the date and time settings on both the BB and the PC and everything is correct. I called Mailstreet and they were clueless. They called Cingular's BB specialist and they had me completely reload everything on the BB including all of the service books and after 2 hours of messing on the phone with them we had the same results. Has anyone else here ever run across this?

Thanks

cmeyer,

Mark (from PocketDay) here. Tasks created on Outlook have a 12 midnight time that you can't see. My experience is that when they get transferred to the BB, the timezone suddenly kicks in and if you had a task on Tues. and had a timezone of EST (GMT-5), then on the BB it would internally be Mon at 7pm. PocketDay attempts to compensate for this, but RIM knows about the issue.

I don't know if this helps, just my 2 cents...

UMM, sound like it could be the reason I guess. No one at Mailstreet, Cingular or RIM can figure this out and they all say that they have never seen this before. Once the task has been created and sent to the BB I even have the same issue if I change the due date to a few days later (something that I really do alot seeing how most of my task are reacurring task) once it syncs to the desktop the date is moved forward one day?

If I create new task from the BB it is synced to the desktop with the correct date though.

I really want top dump my Palm but I rely so much on task that I am maybe going to have to wait for a fix from someone.

Has anyone found a solution to this? We are running BES 4.0 and both BES and Exchange is set to EST. We have a customer who has issues with Tasks (he is in PST and as you can guess the items are 3 hrs. off in tasks). Funnily, the Calendar is all fine. Is there any known solutions? I checked here, plus BB Support, I haven't seen anything yet.
