Talking Anyone Still Using A 7290 That Doesn't Have To

Please Login to Remove!

Just curious, does anyone out there still use a 7290 out of choice? Not because your company won't upgrade, but because you like it? I still really love mine...and having used both the 8700 and 7100... still like the 7290 best...(yes, I like speaker phone and EDGE) However, the 8800 looks great, can't wait.

My girlfriend is using a 7290 by choice. Work would give her an 8700 if she wanted it, but she wants to stick with her 7290. She doesn't like the keyboard, or build quality of my 8700, and doesn't care about EDGE, since she pretty much only uses it for email.

I'm a blackberry power user and i prefer the 7290. Why?

a) Keyboard (obvious here)
b) The screen is *always on*. It's mounted on the dash of my car (velcro) and i like to see what's goiong on in the window i am interested in..

the 8700.. what advantage does it give? Not much yet, but i'll switch as soon as i can watch videos, listen to mp3's, radio streaming, etc..

I love my 7290, all by choice! I sold my 7290 in April when the 8700 came out, then sold that one last week to get the 8100 Pearl. So I returned the Pearl 2 days ago and went back to the 7290.

Reasons I love this more than 8700/8100:

1. Always on, screen looks beautiful in bright daylight.
2. Keyboard is excellent, buttons don't move around like the other 2 models.
3. Sturdy feel, better construction and material, built like a tank.
4. Ringer selection is better.
5. Nicer body design.
6. Better reception and better call quality.

After I installed the Vodafone theme on my 7290 it looks even better! I'm glad I'm not alone in liking the 7290 out of choice. People think I'm crazy to have gone from a Pearl 8100 to a 7290 but I think you all know why, this phone rocks!

I use one for work but it really gets very little use compared to my personal 8700c. I don't have to use the 7290 but I don't see much point in upgrading it.
