Hi, I'm new to the board and searched for an answer to my question, which I wasn't able to find. Essentially, when my Blackberry 7250 is locked (screensaver is showing) a icon that resembles an open pad lock appears above the battery strength indicator. When I unlock my BB, the icon goes away.

This is a new occurence and I would like to understand why it is there and how to get rid of it if at all possible. Thanks for any help.

Does the padlock ever change to locked? This sounds like content protection has been enabled on your handheld.
