Unhappy Not Workin

I hit the green phone key/menu/options/General Options...At the bottom of the screen it says "Ringtone Lighting". I set it from "off" to "Trackball", the only other option. Regardless of the setting, the whole keyboard lights up white. No fun lights. I'm running .42. Any suggestions???

You need a funky ringtone, it'll change colors based on melody/whatever/something.

here's what i figured out... two things... one, and I am guilty of this constantly... after changing a setting, make sure you hit the back button and save, rather than the end key and going strait to the home screen. two, this will only work if the phone is on a ring profile... if just vibbing, it wont, and if vibe and tone, it wont work till the tone shows up.

nice, eh? now, all i need is a slicker media player, the ability to sync through wMP seamlessly, and the ability to play WMA files via A2DP profile to a BT stereo headset, and i have my dream phone. too much to ask?

You must be in the phone program. Press menu key>options then general shows up in a menu. Go to ringtone lighting.

anyone that is having trouble with this... step by step... from the home screen, press green phone key, then menu key, select options, select general options, select trackball lighting to on, hit back key, save and exit. now, when phone is on a ringer profile, you will have your personal pearl disco.

Like? I've had this setting on since I had the OEM TMO software (now on Telefonica's) and haven't had any issues with the phone at all.
