Default How to check or free up memory?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a BB 8700g, did a search and didn't find any info on memory related topic.

How can I check the memory usage on the 8700g?

What's the best way/quickest way to free up memory (in addition to deleting files and programs)?

thanks for any help/suggestions

To check go to Options -> Status and it will show you in there. A couple of things to possibly free up memory are to check your phone logs and delete very old calls, SMS's, and of course emails. Other than that, not much. Why are you trying to free up space? Are you full?

From your home screen hit Alt»LGLG to clear your event log. Also go into your brower, press the wheel, and scroll down to options. Once there check your cache and clear out the content / cookies. If you are a little adventurous go into your advanced options and check for applications that you may not use. Be very careful to avoid deleting critical apps. that are necessary to run your device. That should get you started.

I would also go to Pictures and delete any pictures/wallpaper that you don't want.

From the 8700 from alt-cap-H and you'll see how much memory is free.

One thing that really can help free up memory is to delete unused themes. Deleting pre-loaded themes can be done, but only by modifying the alx file or deleting or renaming the theme cod files.
