Does the OEM plastic holster that comes with the 8703e leave marks on the BB?
My old 7250 holster left rub marks on the unit and I dont want this to happen to my new one. I will only be using it for a few more weeks until my custom "Fortte" arrives.
Is there any places that can be filed down etc?

Not on mine. I've had my VZW 8703E since the day it was released thru Gov't and B2B channels and I've experienced no "holstering scratches".

I have rub marks on mine, but they are barely noticable at all.

8700c 6 months
I just noticed wear marks on the base in the lower section under the keyboard and a little at the top near the screen.
The 6000 and 7000 series I had showed wear marks all along the screen.
Maybe a soft case would prevent marks.

I to have rub marks on mine. I keep checking Rims site to see when the oem leather hoster is going to come out but it was been delayed about 3 times now. Was to computer out at the end of oct but now it say end of dec.

rub marks on mine! stupid holster i shoulda pre ordered my leather case... then again i didn't think i'd be getting a 8703e!

the first 8703e I bought i had to return after about three days because something on it was scratching up my screen.

I don't really want my BB to get wear marks but I also haven't found anything nearly as convenient for me as the included clip. it's stylish and not bulky at all. it's exactly what i need.

I'm always trying to keep my eyes open for a new carrying solution but for now i'm sticking with the plastic holster.

my first one had a ton of rub marks. when i got this new one i ordered a seidio skin and the seidio holster...pretty happy with the combo
