Question Receiving Videos

Please Login to Remove!

I was told today I would not be able to receive short video clips through MMS, SMS, or email? I find this hard to believe since you are able to download movies to the pearl. Does anyone have any comments? Please help!

I get videos now and then. I never checked if they were emails or MMS.

Are you receiving short videos b/c you have a MicroSD card? I don't have one and I can't receive videos. It so frustrating!

I have a 1 GB microSD card and I can't get videos via email or Mobile GMail. I think it has something to do with the encoding of the video. Remoemer you have to have the video in an avi wrapper using H.something encoding or MPEG4 I think. Check the sticky. Most video over the Net is either wmv files or mov or QuickTime files.

I understand over the internet, but what about from another cell phone? I know the file extension from cell phones is .3gp. Are .3gp files also encoded or something?

Through bluetooth or MMS? I tried an MMS with memory card and it's still a no go. Guess BB can't receive videos from another phone.

Default Video deleted by MMS adaptation

Here is the MMS message I receive when somebody sends me an MMS video ( .3gp).

"One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS adaptation. Either the message was too large or the components were unsuitable for your terminal".

For those that cant accept videos, is this the same message that you get?

The video that I am trying to receive is small ( less than 50kb) - Pearl manual says it will support MMS up to 300kb.

Any help is appreciated.
