press the green button of your pearl to the call log and options->General Options->Ringtone lighting change it to trackball and save
and the colour of the trackball will change when your phone rings!

About every three weeks a new member starts a thread about discovering this feature. Then lots of people respond to the thread about how cool the feature is or say that they did not know about it.

So I guess it's cool to repost it since there's a cycle of new members who were not aware of the feature.

Otherwise, yeah, it's old news. But since new members don't know about it, guess it's new news.

I set the ringtone lighting option to trackball. I did a test call to my phone and it does not light up. Maybe because I have it ringer set on vibrate?

The ringer must be on. Only lights up when ringer goes off.
