Question Guess on Time frame for OS update for the 8100?

Please Login to Remove!

So when this thing first came out there was an OS upgrade about every month or so. I'm wondering if someone has a clue when the next OS upgrade will be comming out. Most of the bugs have been fixed so far but the OS still needs a little work the little things like clocking the CPU a little more and fixing some java errors. I would think that an update is right around the corner but you never know since most places/providers have already released the pearl

I really home we get one soon, the home page dialing bug has still not been fixed and it happens all too frequently.

They also need to put some major efforts on Mac synching Pocketmac just stopped working for me again. :(

Pocket Mac has nothing to do with the OS thats something that RIM does not support and probably never will... You might want to contact the makers of pocket Mac if your having issues with it i heard there support is pretty good even though its a free app

Seeing how MAC comprises 2 to 4 percent of the computer market, I don't see RIM putting any money into addressing issues related to MAC users of RIM products.

Understandable. If owned RIM I could not afford to have my developers/programmers spend time working on solutions for a few thousand people [not all of those 2 to 4 percent use RIM products].

As to the topic, I suspect patches will come out about every few months until things settle down. Such is typical of most software. Every three or four months upgrades and patches come out. Only time it bugs me is when a new version comes out every year and they want money from me to upgrade [e.g. Adobe Acrobat].

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that in the past if you hit the red end button it would back you all the way out to the home screen but now sometimes i have to hit the esc button to get me back there sometimes. Weird, don't know if its just me or what.
