I was trying to recover some memory by turfing one of the themes. I deleted net_rim_theme_bbdimension_zen_240x260_b.cod using JavaLoader and now my Pearl is un-readable - the display is monochrome and weird. Where can I get a copy of this file so I can restore it?

Check wwhich OS version you have on your Pearl.

Download the same version and run the installer. In the App Loader folder in Program Files there will be all the files from the OS. You will find the file there I suppose.

I found a link to the latest version of the O/S (Package Version: 4.2.0.61) so I'm going to install that and see what happens.
Will the O/S upgrade blow away all my data?
Not a big deal because I sync with Outlook on my home PC. But I'm at the office and will be without my data till end of the day. No biggie.

Got to get your hands dirty during the learning process.

latest version out now is .71

I'm using Rogers and the download site showed .61 as the latest.
Hardly matters to me, I'm too new to BB to have experienced any issues.
I'm just happy to be back up and running normally.
