The rubberized hard case + holster should be fantastic. I got my wife the hybrid rubberized hard case with clear front for her treo680 and was very impressed. Nice and thin, adds very little thickness to the device. Clear front allows you to show off your device instead of having it hidden under the casing. Gives a much more secure grip, and considering how "slippery" the 8800 feels, this is a welcome accessory.

Wow, the 8800 just came out a few weeks ago. Why hate on Seidio because they're working hard to put together a customized case and holster for the 8800?? It's rare to find a lot of case options so early in the release of a new phone. I applaud the company for listening to the customers and keeping us updated on the release of their products.

I don't like the leather OEM case either, but is that really a reason to return your berry? I hope your post was filled with sarcasm.

If the new case is anything like the one they sell for the treo 750, I'd jump on it. love the rubberish feel and gives a better grip overall. Not too crazy about the silver sides on my BB, reminds me of an ipod.

I actually like the look of the silver sides. Like you said, very iPod-ish. But from a functional standpoint I think it was a big mistake. Rubberized sides or even indented sides like on the 8700 would allow for a much better grip.

The rubberized casing Seidio offers for the Treo line is really good. Just grippy enough, but not too much that you can't slip it into a pocket easily. And unlike a silicone skin, the casing is "low profile" and doesn't add considerable thickness to the device.

Exactly right. I kinda prefer the plastic side like the 8700, felt more durable than the silver sides which I think it might be more prone to scratches. But once the case comes out, it won't matter as it'll be covered, and its grippy but not sticky like the silicone ones. Too bad its not coming out right now.

Looks good, although I dont generally like holsters that have a top clip. I like the launcher style holsters that leave the top free. Much smoother motion to take it out and put it back in without a top clip.

I thought I was the only one that liked the OEM plastic holster (i.e.: "the launcher")! Something about removing the berry from the holster in one quick motion, and hearing that click when you put it back .... sigh, I do miss that.

With the shape and smoothness of the 8800, I'm not sure a plastic holster without a top clip is possible.
