An actual bus, a big long thing with normal wheels that clogs up city streets.
We have a fleet of some (70??) bus lines - some diesel, some electric - that crisscross the city. This is referred to as the MUNI -- Municipal Metro is also part of Muni, it's the term used for the actual "trains on rails" that run underground and aboveground (some are fully underground, some run both under and above). So MUNI = busses + trains + cable cars + historic street cars. BART, SCVTA & Caltrain are three other transit systems that serve different purposes -- mainly shuttling out-of-towners to and from SF.
It's the mass network of busses that warrants a map, if you ask me.
