Lemme help ya out here, Ryan:

Tube 2 for BlackBerry
http://www.visualit.co.uk/Blackberry/BB_Tube2.htm

I would like to request a version for San Francisco -- primarily the MUNI system (all busses, not just trains). All the web images have copyrights attached, nobody has much legal luck creating a handheld map for us.

Official SF Muni maps:

thanks rivviepop for posting the link

We have a San Fran map that includes the MUNI system, but not all the buses. The map is due an update into our latest style so I'll make sure your comments get noted.

We will be converting maps over to the BlackBerry in the order they're requested. So I'll get San Fran bumped up the list.

Thanks. I guess the problem/difference here is if you're trying to court the visitor or the people who live here; having the bus lines is *key*, everyone already knows where all the trains are (I mean look at the map - it's virtually a straight line). Most of our (confusing) transit that warrants a map is the aboveground bus system. :(

That's great...I used this on my PocketPC and was wondering when it would be ported over to the BB. NYC and Washington DC if it hasn't been suggested! As well as an 8800 version

rivviepop - excuse my ignorance, I'm not a map developer, but am passing all your comments on so want to make sure I understand you correctly. For San Fran we plan to include the BART, SCVTA & Caltrain systems plus the Municipal Metro, Municipal Historic Street Car and Cable Car systems in central SF.

When you refer to bus's so you mean what us English would deem a bus, or is bus a term for the overground trams in San Fran?

rel12561 - You should have no problems using on an 8800. Just seems we missed the text to say that's a supported device/

NYC is coming next, then we'll get San Fran and Washington out asap after that.

An actual bus, a big long thing with normal wheels that clogs up city streets. We have a fleet of some (70??) bus lines - some diesel, some electric - that crisscross the city. This is referred to as the MUNI -- Municipal Metro is also part of Muni, it's the term used for the actual "trains on rails" that run underground and aboveground (some are fully underground, some run both under and above). So MUNI = busses + trains + cable cars + historic street cars. BART, SCVTA & Caltrain are three other transit systems that serve different purposes -- mainly shuttling out-of-towners to and from SF.

It's the mass network of busses that warrants a map, if you ask me.

You can't post NYC soon enough for me! Now if you can have it pick up my location from the internal GPS and move the map accordingly so I can see the nearest stations when the program launches, that would be very nice.

Oddly, Google Desktop Maps shows subway stops for NYC but not on the mobile version.

Boston for me (along with London and San Francisco)!

Excellent - used to use Tube on Symbian - one of the few things I missed moving to BB a few years ago.

Tube 2 London is great. A little disappointing that it's only the subway maps, but it's better than nothing
