Smile My first ringtones

Please Login to Remove!

I just got my 7100t today and must say I am very happy with it.

I immedately read up on how to crate new ring tones and thought I should share my first batch of ring tones and mail notificators. They are all converted from humorous movie quote snippets downloaded at www.wavcentral.com.

You can get my ringers here through your bb: http://annamattias.no-ip.com/bb/ The files are hosted on my own server and the page is the download widget only, no images, no ads, no nothing. Just the ring tones!

By the way I learned WML this evening so dont expect a great download site =]

These ringtones are in adp format (of course) and might work for other phones than the 7100-series eventhough I have not tested that.

Default The THX sound

I just added a whole bunch of more movie related ringtones that I converted to the adp format, among them the THX sound and it sounds fabolous.

Just go here and grab any you like.

where did you learn WML? from a web site? a book? is it really easy?

and what are the advantages doing a WML site, instead of a bunch of html pages w/ no images?

First of all I downloaded the free version of the Opera browser with which you can open WML pages on your PC.

Then I hopped over to http://www.w3schools.com/wap/ where I read up on the syntax and tried the examples.

Then I started to do some simple coding and used the WML Validator on the page above to see if the code followed the standard.

Then I was done.

It took me about three hours to go from nothing to that simple page, but then I code HTML and PHP, perl on occasion.

The only advantage I have seen so far is that I dont get the annoying 500 Internal Server error on WML pages with the mMode or BlackBerry browsers.

THX sound worked for me on the 7100g. "I'll be back" or "Make my day" would be interesting downloads. Great site!

I get an error 406: Not Acceptable message when trying to download the files? Anybody else have this problem? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
