As you probably know the 8880 has a 2.5mm socket for headphones. I wanted to use my stereo headphones with 3.3mm jack, so I purchased an adaptor. However when I plug it in the headphones don't work the sound just continues through the Blackberry speaker. Anyone else experienced this? Or can you recommend a cheap set of headphones with a 2.5mm jack. i live in the UK.

I used a company called Expansys and purchased these

Buy a RIM® BlackBerry 8100/8800 Stereo Headset (Black), #HDW-13019-001 - eXpansys UK

If you are in the UK the depot where the headphones are despatched from is in Trafford Park, Manchester. If you wish just search the expansys site for blackberry earphones.

They work brilliantly by the way.

Should have said that I could not get an adaptor to work correctly. The sound was either mono through the earphones or continued to play through the speaker.
