I just started looking at this - not in terms of a rival to BB, but instead as a potential way to sync my Outlook calendar / PIM entries OTA with my Blackberry without needed Exchange. I'm using T-Mobile's BIS, which is invaluable for push email. But wouldn't it be nice if we could also sync our calendars, task lists and notes over the air as well, without having to cough up another $10 a month for the privilege?
I've just started reading up on this, but it appears that it might be possible to do this setting up an Funambol server on my PC at home and installing the Funambol Blackberry client on my Curve.
I'm taking this slow, as I'm reluctant to scrag my PC or my Curve.
Anyone here tried working with Funambol?
