Default BES Admin Corner - Subforums/Separation: Yes/No?

Please Login to Remove!

It's been a few months since we separated the various BES platforms into their own subforums. Do you guys like this, or do you think we should consolidate back to a single forum?

Personally, I never saw the point, as the platforms are very similar (on the BES side) and most users are good about delineating their platform in their thread subjects or a sentence or two in.

So, we'll make the decision up to you guys in this poll. We'll leave it running for a few weeks.

Merge it back. I always forget to check the sub-forums. And enough issues cross mail systems.

In line with my vote as well as the previous responses by other members... I suppot merging the subforums back into a consolidated BES Admin forum.

I think they should go back together. I prefer that they are separated by mail server environment, but most people are too lazy to click their mouse one more time before posting and as a result it's become chaos.

I'm all for putting it back as one big happy BES Admin forum. The splitting up by platform made perfect sense, but bottom line, runs contrary to human nature.

If it was split initially and there was no general forum repository, then it'd still make sense. But some of us who have been used to this for well over 2-3 years, well...

They can be good seperated if you are looking for a problem that relates to a particular mail client, but most new posts dont go into the sub-forums anyway. Also have to admit that I forget to check them at times

Keep them separate because of the quirks of the different platforms. If you merge them, please make it searchable by platform. Its tough to wade through posts that are not in your platform.

*bump*

need a few more total votes before we make a decision (majority does not rule, so it's still open)

Maybe you can set up an electoral college, with members of at least 5,000 posts representing the views of everyone else.

Wait a minute... scratch that idea... it doesn't work.

heh. well, if people wanted the separation, it'd stay. but somehow, i figured most people would be like-minded/level-headed like me.
