How can the Komet have space for GPS, Wifi, and camera, but the Curve can't? It doesn't make sense.

That is one way to interpret it. I think the more appropriate conclusion is that the 8300 series will not have both WiFi and GPS.

T-mobile is completing testing on their 8320, which has WiFi, and not GPS. The delay in its release stem from problems in the hand-off of voice calls to UMA (their @home network).

I completely agree with anesone. Somewhere, some assumed (ahem) that no 8300s would have WiFi. The 8320 certainly will.

I am ok with this.

So the qwerty line up is this:

8300 - camera AT&T
8310 - camera, gps, dark grey AT&T
8320 - camera, wifi, color?? T-Mobile

8800 - GPS AT&T/T-Mobile
8830 - GPS (sprint), CDMA/GSM Sprint/Verizon
8820 - GPS, wifi AT&T

I know which I will chose here. (8310)

Nice-- well I certainly hope the 8320 is alive and well being prepped for release. Seems rumors about it kinda fell off the past few months, so this is excellent news. That's the one I'm waiting for. Too bad we couldn't get GPS/WiFi/and Camera all "crammed" into an 8300 (bogus logic). Looks like I might need to edit the topic of this thread now haha.

The only place I've seen stats for the Komet 2 mentioned are in a Boy Genius Report article. And no mention of GPS.

8320 is in testing & will NOT have : GPS (only the 8310 does).
8320 WILL have the WiFi UMA/GAN implementation for Tmobile. Dark Grey color for 8310+GPS = Germany carrier.

I'd be happy with a 8330 myself.

8830 is just the 8800 with support for CDMA in the us at 850 and 1900mhz and support for GSM in the rest of the world at 900 and 1800mhz.

The verizon version is missing GPS, the sprint version has it.

Partially correct. The Verizon 8830 has the GPS hardware as all other 8830's do, however, VZW blocks its usage.

I don't really care about the gps all I want is the wifi, which the 8320 have. I mean don't get me wrong, GPS will be a great addition, but I will not be using it as much as the wifi.
