Default Opera Mini 4 Beta VS. T-Mobile 8100

Please Login to Remove!

I finally got the Opera Mini 4 Beta to work today. All of the websites that I frequent on my phone are working fine - EXCEPT MySpace.

Every action that I try to perform (reading a comment, posting a comment, visiting a page, viewing my comments, etc) takes me back to myspace.com's main screen and asks me to enter in my username and password again!

Have I done something wrong with my settings? Is anyone else having this problem?

Defintately sounds like a looping problem that we had a while back. Does it work fine in the blackberry native browser? If so it's a problem with opera. If not, it might be something on the network causing the loop.

Sounds like an issue with cookies or authentication.

Are people so addicted to myspace that they can't even wait to get back to a PC and have to have it on their phones too? I see people having conversations about myspace whining because they are not not in someone's top 8. It's getting ridiculous. </rant>

Spectral

Are you using Opera Mini? Have you messed with the Beta version? I'm curious to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem on ANY website...
The only website that I've had problems with today was MySpace, so that is why I cited that site...

You should check on MySpace in the Mobile Section to see if there are some tips on using Opera Mini. I have the latest Pearl OS and it works fine on the BB browser, but when I tried to install Opera Mini I got an error message and I have not tried to install it again.

But go to MySpace [see pic of page below], there may be some settings talked about there. Guess you could also check with the Opera people?

I think the BB browser beats them all. It has many of the same functions as the TMO browser and the Opera Browser. It is also faster than them all. I don't think it was worth the 2 and a half hours it took to find out how to set it up. Maybe I just haven't used it to its intended potential. "Anyone agree or disagree?"

I agree with crypto. The title of this thread has absolutely nothing to do with the question in the first post. But here is my intelligent answer anyways...... Why don't you just use the current stable version of opera which is 3. I use that and have no problems on myspace. The BB browser works well also. I have opera beta 4 installed also but don't really like it.
