Smile How best to upload songs to handset???

Please Login to Remove!

Hi All -

Please can people share their method of uploading songs on to the curve 8310 handset?
i currently painstakingly use the bluetooth file transfer to get the songs transmitted from my mac to the berry ringtone section.
[Side-question: why is it the ringtone section that the device pre-sets for this? Can i change this at all??]

As a mac user, i understand that my exchange functions with pocketman are limited. Still, is there no way to upload songs via this software/usb chord?

Thanks in advance...

If you have a MicroSD card installed, you can mount your BlackBerry as a USB drive (mass storage mode) on either PC or Mac. Just find the drive icon and start dumping files in.

Hi spblat,

Thanks for your response. I do have a 1GB card installed. Does that mean that i "convert" my berry to a "usb stick" via this "mass storage mode"? If so, please can you drop a hint as to how to do it and also, will everything remain the same (settings) when re-converting to "phone"???

thanks for your understanding - i'm a new-bee as one can tell...

Yes you can. You should be able to easily load music via the media manager from the Desktop Manager.

I don't even use the Media Manager at all. Simply plug the Curve into a USB port, it will mount itself as a new drive (make sure in Options - Media Card - Mass Storage Mode Support is ON) - and then just drag and drop files into that drive.

Very simple and fast. Good luck.
