For some reason, over the past 24-48 hours, my Curve 8320 will collect / pick up old emails that my BlackBerry has already picked up. So, say someone sends me an email, the BlackBerry will show it. Then, about 15 minutes or so later, it will show it again, as new on my BlackBerry

It's strange, and I'm not sure why it's happening. I've removed the account, re-added it, and same thing. I've resent the service books; same thing...

I did a search, did not find anything on here about it. Any other ideas?

Same thing happens to me. I've done a ton of research and can't find a reason/solution. The only thing that has worked so far is to go into Gmail and actually mark the messages as read. I do this about once a week and it seems to have stopped the flood of emails to my BB.

I figured it out. In the profile settings of my GMail settings in BIS, it was missing my name. The field was blank, as soon as I added my name, all works well...

This happened to me the other day.. my 8830 wasn't getting any new mail, so i reset the phone, and all was well.. email's came thru.. then disaster happened.. it kept getting the same 26 emails OVER and OVER during the course of the day.. honestly I think i got the same 26 emails atleast 7x that day.. 150 emails of the SAME thing it was pretty annoying.. so then i upgraded the software and when it was on the email's werent there then they came thru like 5 mins later then nothing.. thought i was all set but nope they came thru again and again, then i said screw it, went to bed then it downloaded 150 messages of even older email's by this time i changed the profile to silent and went to bed. woke up and there was the emails it got last night, but nothing else and its been good since then. and i think so far its been working pretty good.
