At&t Sos 7-10-08

I'm not sure if this is just a tower issue or not but all the AT&T phones and Blackberry's in my office and building has SOS on their screens. Battery pulls don't matter. I popped over to the corp AT&T store during lunch and they said they were having the same issue but nobody knew anything about it when they called it in.

This is in Troy Michigan, anyone else in the area or state having the same issue?

Now this is strange, When we look at the services status on the Blackberry, it says that our Mobile Network Provider is T-Mobile. Talk about screwed up.

It seems to come and go for me here in Louisville, KY. It goes out for a few seconds then comes back and has done it a few times in the past few days.

Wirelessly posted (8310 AT&T)

I've been clear today. From Roanoke, VA to Florence, SC.

I'm on the phone with AT&T now, I didn't want to throw this to the outage list until I had confirmation from them. So far the tech has nothing showing up on his board but he did ask if anything came across the dataoutages mail list. That was interesting to say the least. I told him that so far it just seems to be this area so it could be a tower so he's checking a few things and putting in a ticket.

How about THAT for validation of dataoutages! (y)

I ran into the same issue yesterday. now I know why.

kennethmurrell 07-15-2008 03:36 PM

mine seems to come only when I have little to no signal... so it must be something to do with signal strength?

audit 07-15-2008 03:38 PM

It was happening with full bars so it wasn't a signal issue.

check that thread, it is in fact due to signal/outage issues.

There is nothing in that thread that definitively states it is a signal outage issue. The OP here stated he had full bar signal.

kennethmurrell 07-19-2008 02:02 PM

True, but the general concensus is that its a no signal issue. I don't think anyone can give us a definate answer.... you are just following me on the forums, aren't you Jsanders?! Lol Yay a stalker

Yes, absolutely I am watching for your misleading and/or incorrect answers posted on here.

There is no consensus for the OP. I know him, I know his issue, and I had the same happen a week before. It was not an outage issue or signal drop as we both had full signals.

kennethmurrell 07-19-2008 05:22 PM

Good. I was testing you.
