Default Using Bluetooth with Laptop

Please Login to Remove!

Hello everyone,

I'm hoping that you can answer something for me. On my desktop software (ver. 4.2.2.12) there is an option under Options>Connections to enable bluetooth support. However, it is grayed out for some reason, and I cannot use it. I have a Lenovo x61T computer that has Bluetooth functionality, and one of the reasons I got it with that is so that I would no longer have to synch my data with a cable. Can someone explain, if you know, why this option is greyed out and I cannot use it? Yes, I have a 8300 from AT&T. Thank you for the help.

Sean, check these two Sticky Notes at the top of the Bluetooth section of this board...

I appreciate the links but it does not address why the option is blocked off in the desktop software. I have no connectivity issues at all. My computer will connect to my BB but I cannot activate the option to transfer data between the two UNTIL I can check it in the connection settings option, and right now, I cannot get to that option.

The second link JSanders provided you is what you're looking for.
You can't use the Bluetooth drivers that came with your laptop. You most replace the bluetooth stack on your computer with the generic Microsoft bluetooth drivers.
