Not sure which pearl you have but I just upgraded my os on my 8120 and I can watch you tube directly on my phone. I wasn't able to with the old os so try upgrading to 4.5.x pin me for more info.

Are you on 4.2 os or 4.5 os? I also had opera mini on my 4.2 os and it didn't work back then.
