Default Laptop cannot connect with Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

HI,
I have a bluetooth laptop and I'm trying to connect with my blackberry but it tells me I don't have the necessary drivers.
I have the BB Curve (8300)...I've made it discoverable and everything goes good until it tries to install the drivers on my laptop and it tells me it cannot find the drivers. Everything works fine if I connect with a USB cable and access the Desktop Manager.

I've tried the Blackberry site and can't seem to find anything.
Does anyone know where I can get this? I would like to transfer files to my blackberry without always connecting with a USB cable.

Thanks

Default XPSP2 drivers

Hello

I just got mine a couple of weeks ago but apparently the skinny on this is something as follows:

Desktop Manager only supports the XP SP2 bluetooth stack.

Personally I had to upgrade my stack to the OEM's drivers to permit my BT headset to work with my laptop which screwed the Microsoft stack.

I havent tried hard but have been unable to get it to work with the present drivers as it seems to want to pull from the MS connections and profiles.

The older handsets will get Bluetooth 2 compatibility with O/S 4.3 & up (I think - 4.5 for sure) - which is what you need for your notebook.

You may also need a BT2 USB dongle for your notebook if it's an older model and not yet BT2. Try the one from Newton Peripherals.
