I know there is a company that unlocks BB's and other means, does anyone think it will be worth the addition cost associated w/ the purchase price? Thanks everyone for their contributions to this forum.

hmmm.... looking at the Howard Forums photo makes me wonder if the screen will be like the 7100 and very difficult to see in sunlight.

That's difficult to say. The new 71xx series is rumored to have a better display which is more readable in direct sunlight. We'll see when its released.

yah just mp3 ringtones.

The screen is good for bright, direct sunlight, that was something that was covered.

I believe there is a fix coming out that will make the 7100g easier to view in sunlight. This fix might be included in an OS upgrade scheduled to be released next week but I am not absolutely sure. Saw and held the 8700 yesterday. I think I'm gonna switch to it.

I'd love to know how an OS upgrade would change the physical properties of a screen. That would be a neat trick. Maybe the next OS upgrade could double my ram!

Talking Love

I don't love the new machine, but as sombody with Attention deficit disorder, I am very excited to be getting this new berry. In the last 3 months i have switched from a 7290 to a 7100 to a new color 7290, I have a problem, anytime something new comes out and i want it I get it whether or not I can afford it. Bottom line I guess what I'm asking is, What do you think this 8700 will cost?

Ralphie

By the way, I want to get involved in the forum stuff, I made my own forum called http://www.blackberrydude.com[/SIZE]]BlackberryDude.com I would like for it to one day be part of this webring of HoFo and this one etc. anybody know how I can do that? I love these sites!

Thanks

OK... now this thread is going way off topic here, but once again... What will your blackberry info site offer that this one doesn't? Are you going to have inside tips before everyone else? I am trying to understand what exactly you are trying to accomplish with your site? Is there something wrong with blackberryforums that you think should be improved? Are you just trying to make some money with advertising?

Sure we all love these sites... but it's like asking some guy driving in a corvette to check out your vette.... your chevette that is...

I am trying to comprehend what exactly you plan to provide to the community that already isn't being provided? I'm sure you can enlighten us and give us some better reasoning than that other retard did...

cd.

No need to be mean, my edge was going to be that I would tailor to newbies, and it would be a friendly site obviously different from this one, Dawg, you seem to be quite the pious man from your quote but you can sure make somebody feel bad... Jerk And by the way, I made that logo myself.
