Question Blackberry IT policy

Please Login to Remove!

I am using IT policies on a Blackberry 4.0 Enterprise server. Now that I have reached about 1000 users in the policy, it takes about 15 minutes to open the policy to add a user. Does anyone have any idea what the cause of the this could be? The server is supposed to support up to 2000 users.

is the database remote to the BES? are you running SQL or MSDE?

btw, i've moved this to the BES Admin Corner forum, since it should belong there.

The 2 things jibi mentioned is exactly what I was thinking. Obviously if the Db is remote that could have an impact. But more importantly if you are running MSDE with 1000 users you need to buy a SQL license and migrate to SQL as soon as possible. MSDE has limitations and the Db is the single most important thing in the BES world.

It is MDAC 2.8. Server is windows 2003 no SP. It does have the correct version of MDAC that is installed with Windows 2003 SP1. BES is SP2.

For BES SP2 you need MDAC 2.8 SP1 see the release note!

Mdac 2.8 sp2, XML parser 4 sp1 (or whatever sp it is), cdo.dll needs to be in the exch/bin dir instead of the system32...

As said before, its all in the sp2 install guide. If anyone ever reads it...

My BES server is at these levels. Also, I thought cdo.dll had to do with wireless calendaring.
