Default blackberry browser vs. internet browser

Please Login to Remove!

Yes, i searched, found nothing.

This morning I installed my Bes finally, after waiting what seemed like forever.

I activated my BB, now I have a blackberry browser and a internet browser.(Internet browser was there prior to ent. activation)

Which one is better or are they essentially the same thing?

Thanks in advance.

Default Browsers

The Internet Browser uses your ISP's network to surf the net.

The BlackBerry brwoser surfs the net via your corporate connection, you will have to set up the proxy (under BES) if you have one on your network.

The BlackBerry browser gives you the ability to surf internal (intranet) websites that aren't accessible from the outside of your corporate network.

At least thats how I understand it.

Murpheous, In addition to Carl's comment, I would like to add that surfing under the BB browser is secure and encrypted where as the internet browser is not secure at all. Also, I believe the internet browser uses the BB infrastructure to surf the net and not the service providers network.
